Services

Mbed Pathology offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary pathology services that can be tailored to the needs of the project and the client. Our services range from rapid review of standard histological sections to comprehensive on-site consulting, training, and pathology services for specific projects.

Histology Review

Our core service is histological review and reporting. 
We accept any of the following: fixed tissue; paraffin blocks; unstained slides; hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained slides; and digital images from slide scanners (Aperio, Hamamatsu, etc.). After review, clients receive electronic pathology reports customized to the needs of the project or case, as well as the opportunity to discuss the results with the pathologist.

Complete Necropsy and Tissue Processing

For clients in Southern Ontario, we offer on-site necropsy and tissue collection services. We will consult and work with lab staff to optimize necropsy and tissue collection protocols, ensuring optimal results for histology and other associated molecular endpoints.

Training

We offer a broad range of training in veterinary pathology procedures and protocols. Our training is conducted on a one-on-one basis or in a small group format. This approach provides hands-on learning and the opportunity to interact directly with researchers on issues of greatest importance to their projects.

Consultation

Mbed offers consultation on the development of animal models of human disease, and works closely with lab staff to establish comprehensive and systematic methods to assess the gross and histologic phenotypes of new or established model systems.

Competitive pricing is negotiated on an individual basis, depending on the scale of the project and the needs of the client. A free consultation is available for all potential clients.
